West Point AOG Career Services offers grads a choice between two levels of career transition support: “Do it Yourself” services at no cost or “Premium” services with a 100% refundable fee.


Do it Yourself

For grads who are far along in their job search or have done it before and need minimal assistance, WPAOG Career Services will provide the following services at no cost:

  1. A one-hour Initial Consultation. For what to expect during this call, click here.
    • An overview of services and resources we offer to grads
    • A preliminary resume and LinkedIn profile review
    • Discussion about your job goals, work experience, geographic preferences, compensation expectations, etc.
    • How to use Handshake, our online career management tool
    • Tips for networking, job searching, and employer research

  2. Access to Handshake, a more modern recruiting and online career management tool. To learn how Handshake can support your transition, click here.
    • Using your personal email, access personalized job and/or internship recommendations based on your online career interests profile
    • Build/promote your resume and other brand marketing materials for our employer partners to search and view
    • Research and connect with approved employers/organizations that recruit grads through WPAOG Career Services
    • Schedule and manage your appointments with our team
    • RSVP to career-related events hosted by WPAOG, employer partners and West Point Societies
    • Access useful resources to progress your career development, including articles, checklists, and worksheets
    • Refer other grads to join the platform

  2. Access to the SACCentral database. To register and search jobs for alumni for all five service academies, click here.
  3. Access to networking opportunities with employers at the Service Academy Career Conference (SACC) and other events. To view an upcoming SACC closest to you, click here.

  5. Information about national experiential learning programs for transitioning service members, such as the 12-week Hiring Our Heroes Corporate Fellowship Program.

Premium

Including the above, Premium career services is recommended for grads who are first time job seekers, transitioning from the military within 12 months or executing a civilian career pivot to a different industry or job function.
